Maundy Thursday & Good Friday Service

Writer: Canton BaptistCanton Baptist

Updated: Mar 18, 2024

We will have a Candlelight Communion & Tennebrae Service on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. to observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. You can attend in person or via Zoom. We will lay on the cross our own and the world's sin in faith that their power has been broken by Jesus' crucifixion.

We have been writing sins on strips of purple paper during Lent. Here are some of the named sins from past years: pride, jealousy, complacency, stubbornness, homelessness, poverty, worry, greed, selfishness, despair, apathy, not feeling worthy, scarcity thinking and behavior, jealousy, envy, resentment, war, and others. What sins do you want to lay at the foot of the cross so that their power is broken?
